A NEW PAGE: PALAU

We earned our scuba certification over year ago, but haven’t been diving since that trip. We decided it was time to get back under the sea!

We are off to Palau for a week of diving and enjoying the beach. Palau is a tiny island in the Pacific, and it is famous for its clear waters and coral reefs. It is so isolated, I really doubt that we would ever visit it if we didn’t already live in Korea. However, we adopted an attitude of “when in Asia…” So, off we go!

DCIM108GOPROIn April 2014, we spent a wonderful week exploring reefs and wrecks in the Philippines. We earned our SDI open water certification previously, and we plan to complete our ¬†nitrox certification and perhaps our advanced open water certification in Palau. We also will visit Jellyfish Lake; the lake is filled with jellyfish, but they can’t harm humans. And we want to see¬†Peleliu, site of World War II battle.

I’m excited about this trip because it will be different from so many of our trips, where we are constantly on the go. It’ll be nice to stay at the same hotel for an entire week an only have a few things to do. Dive, eat, sleep.
