Let’s jump back to fall in Seoul!
I mentioned in my anniversary post that I was behind in some of my writing. This is an excellent example. These pictures are from November. Jared and I spent a fall afternoon going all over the city taking pictures; however, Deoksugung was our main goal that day. I had this photography date planned out since we had visited the palace in July. We decided then that we would return in the fall to photograph the palace surrounded by red, yellow, and orange leaves. We got our picture!
However, we almost missed it. The front doors of the building were locked, and we almost waited too long before checking to see if the side doors were open. They were. The colors were beautiful and we picked the best weekend to visit. The next week all the leaves started to fall, and the colors faded quickly. We spent the afternoon wandering a market that was set up alongside the palace walls, and later we toured the palace once again.
It’s a little treat to look back at these photos. I have been watching the trees and waiting for cherry blossom season; the photos here remind me that we won’t be stuck with brown, dead scenery forever. Maybe I should procrastinate sharing posts more often?
