“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”
In early 2010, my husband Jared and I were planning a trip to Spain, our first international vacation by ourselves. A few weeks before our journey, Jared gave me a beautiful leather travel journal with a card that included this quote. It is perfect, because it references my two favorite things: literature and travel. Though we may not read the entire book, we delight in exploring all the world has to offer.
My husband and I have traveled to Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, The Philippines, and various places in Korea and the USA; our travels have only increased our desire to see more of the world! When I can’t travel, I satisfy my exploring needs by being an avid reader (with a soft spot for Victorian literature) and broadening my cooking skills. Jared’s job (Army) has provided us with an awesome opportunity to explore Asia by moving us to Korea! We can’t wait to start our newest adventure!
Each journey I take is another page in my book, but moving to Korea is more than just a page. I want to be more than just a tourist; I hope to immerse myself in a culture like I have never had the opportunity to before. And I’ve started this blog, my first, to share all I discover with you!
